[...] But as Ramin pointed out Friday, what makes this notable news, however, is unconfirmed rumours they may be eyeing the Great White North as a possible site for the Leipzig 2.0. This is an unusual idea, although not entirely unexpected – Canada has become a major player in the development side of the game industry, but we still don’t have a major game con to show for it.
Comment on The Red Queen: Spore DRM encourages piracy by Chibi

I will not be buying Spore any time soon sadly because of this DRM issue. Even though I was all hyped to, including setting aside the money for the Galactic Edition, and having bought the creature creator on the first day of it's released. And there are two reasons for this.

The first two reasons being precisely what Red Queen nailed on the head. First, I do not want to pay $60 dollars for something I do not really own, but rather am ALLOWED to install 3 (MAYBE 4 times, or more after begging EA?). Because to begin with, not only would I be selling my rights as a consumer off to enjoy and *own* the product I was supposed to have bought. But additionally I would only be helping to set a precedent where theft of a paid product now becomes legal because of some mechanism involved with way they control their product.

Secondly being that I have my hard drive partitioned into three parts 2 parts for my Vista/Kubuntu installation respectively, and a third for a shared space. So different partitions are constantly being formated, resized, or otherwise mucked around with. As a result, doing so would also quickly void my three installs. Followed by my fourth, fifth, and whatever the overlords at EA wish to allow their lowly paying customer, Chibi to enjoy.

And to be quite honest, as much as I like Maxis, and would like to see them thrive and grow as one of the few companies left making original games. I am still quite excited about the game, and am considering the idea of taking advantage of the many torrents that have graciously been made available. All in all I will most likely give Maxis/EA two months.

If they persist in using their three install method in the future. Than they have lost a current, and future customer.

I just want to point out that the lower arms with bigger hands also allow more button-mashing for those intense marvel vs capcom matches in the arcade.

Oh man, I remember renting this and playing it with my brother.

There is a very, very strange website about this game. Second link when you google "Caveman Games".

How about this...for the amount of points it costs,i really couldnt care what the motives or plot invoke.
This is just another game that really doesnt belong on market place, the arcade is gettin rammed with useless tat like this.Wheres Marvel v Capcom? Splatter House? Earthworm jim? Toejam and earl? Qauck Shot? Bloody Roar? The rest of the CV games? I could go on,the point im tryin to make is i thought arcade was about invokeing lost childhoods, playin games you left on pause while you slept at night just so you could finish them.I refuse to but another game on arcade till they get that sorted,im not alone most of my 30 to 40 freinds i play on live with have stopped as well.Im not knocking new stuff im only 24 im just want arcade to appeal to me again,it was sooo good, sonic street fighter golden axe streets of rage....it can be again.
Rant over.
