Judging from this demo, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed is shaping up to be a fun ride, though an unintelligent camera and some sticky force power controls may hold it back from being excellent.

While it’s arguably a prime example of a game that can be considered art, Braid is inarguably a gorgeous and brilliant puzzle platformer that will exercise your mind for hours, even after you’ve put down your controller.

While Geometry Wars Retro Evolved 2 retains the addictive insanity of its predecessor and gives you more bang for your space-buck, alterations to the series’ simple nature take away from overall satisfaction.

The plethora of music and rhythm games that threaten to flood the market like so many basment apartments during heavy rain, the ubiquity of the Wii’s infectious casual nature, and Sony and Microsoft’s mad rush to get a piece of the new market that those two elements are ensnaring, are all signs of what “hardcore” gamers and Dennis Dyack are sure to refer to in the coming years as Ragnarok. Is casual gaming the end of the industry, or a shiny new beginning?
