Great White Delight was formed in July 2008 by five Canadians with one simple mission: to create a videogame website that catered to Canadians. Too long have Canuck gamers been ignored by the print and web-based publications from America, Japan, and numerous European countries. To often must we feel the sting of FTC laws preventing us from reaping the benefits of contests from American publications. Too long have we been told of a release date, only to find out later that we must wait another day due to shipping.  We at GWD feel that Canadian gamers deserve their own source for videogame goodness, and so we created a Great White Delight to meet that end.

Making such a Delight takes hard work, and we take our purpose seriously. We promise to give honest, opinionated coverage of all things gaming–including previews, reviews, editorials, and news that is important to Canadian gamers. Ardent nationalists, we will bring you stories with a distinctly Canadian flavour–from the meat of the stories, to the use of Canadian spelling, to Canada-specific release dates, to currency being presented in our own rainbow-coloured CAD.

We are always changing, and always improving, in order to provide Canadians with the best coverage north of the border. So strap in, stay tuned, and keep your stick on the ice–or your ball in the stick*, for you lacrosse players out there.
